• University of Michigan Boy's Soccer Team Camp is designed for high school Varsity and JV teams that are looking for serious competition and an edge in their preparation for the upcoming season. Each team will train with the same high level coach for the entire camp. Morning training will be functional relative to the various thirds of the field, including goalkeeping. Afternoon and evening games are an integral part of this camp and will be maximized. A top priority is placed on integrating individual players into groups and molding them into a team.

  • Goalkeepers:
    Goalkeepers will be trained daily during the team functional training session. Goalkeepers sessions include play on the line, reaction saves, angle play, crosses, boxing, breakaway techniques and tactics, backpasses, directing the defense, footwork and speed training, reading the game and more. Our coaching staff will evaluate and provide feedback to each GK about their play in the 11 v 11 games.

  • Payments:
    The total cost of team camp is $260 per player (Resident - ALL room and board), or $210 (Commuter - No room but includes 2 lunches and 2 dinners) or $170 (Commuter - No room or board). Each team must have a minimum of 12 players. All registration forms must be turned in together with full payment. Space is limited, call (734) 647-1201 to reserve your team's space.

  • Staff
    Coach Burns personally runs this camp and is on the fields every day. His staff consists of his assistant coaches,
    current and former players from the University of Michigan, and other proven high level coaches.

  • Team Supervision:
    Each team is required to have an adult chaperone attend the team camp and serve in a supervisory capacity on Friday and Saturday from 9 - 11 p.m. This person does not need to spend the night in the dorm, and it does not need to be the same person each night.
 

  • Roommate Preference:
    All rooms are double occupancy. All teams will be assigned rooms together on the same section and floor of the dorm. Space is provided on the registration form to indicate the name of your roommate, if you have a preference. If you do not have a preference, you will be assigned an age-appropriate roommate from your team when you check into the camp on the first day.

  • Facilities:
    The camp uses Mitchell Fields, which are a within walking distance of the dormitory. All lodging and meals will be in the Bursley Residence Hall.

  • Check-In and Check-Out:
    Check-in on Friday will be from 12-2 p.m. at Bursley Residence Hall. Sunday check-out is at 4 p.m.

  • What Players Will Receive:
    University of Michigan Soccer T-Shirt.
    Post-Camp Evaluation.
    Three days of expert soccer instruction in a team building setting.
    Two nights of lodging in the dorm.
    Six meals in the dorm; 2 dinners, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts.

  • Refund Policy
    If a camper withdraws from camp at least 24 hours prior to the start date, all funds paid to date will be returned minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be returned for any reason 24 hours prior to the start of camp.
